In our blog, we\u2019ve often touched on PMR\u2019s unique approach to treating our patients. In fact, we believe that our method of treating each patient\u2019s pain, conditions, and other complaints offers the best of all worlds\u2014and as you\u2019ll see, our patients seem to agree with us.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

At PMR, there are a few key principles that set us apart. First, we\u2019re always completely focused on the individual patient. Rather than simply trying to cure an illness or fix a joint, we take the time to understand our patient\u2019s unique goals, than tailor a treatment plan to get them there in concrete steps.<\/p>\n

A Focus on the Patient<\/strong><\/p>\n

At PMR, our doctors and specialists are focused on three things: our patients\u2019 needs, their goals, and their concerns. If that seems unrealistic, consider our process: once we\u2019ve diagnosed you, and before we begin treatment, we\u2019ll sit down with you and all of the necessary specialists to developed an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll discuss your comfort level with various treatment options and modalities, always ensuring that you\u2019re happy with the course of treatment. We\u2019ll also check in with you along the way so that we know we\u2019re helping you meet your lifestyle needs and reach your personal goals.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Holistic and Comprehensive<\/strong><\/p>\n

We refer to PMR\u2019s treatment plans as holistic and comprehensive, but because there\u2019s so much conflicting information about these terms, we felt it was important to break down what each really means.
\nSimply put, a holistic approach means that we never aim our sights solely on a single complaint, symptom, condition\u2014even a disease. Instead, we examine underlying causes and work to improve whole-body health. We believe that disparate parts of the body can affect one another, which necessitates a holistic approach.<\/p>\n

When we refer to our treatments as comprehensive, we mean that we\u2019ll apply all of the techniques and modalities at our disposal, from chiropractic manipulation to acupuncture to nutritional counseling. We use everything in our arsenal to make sure that you get back on your feet\u2014achieving those goals that are so critical to a full recovery.<\/p>\n
