No-fault coverage (PIP) pays up to $50,000 per person for necessary care and lost earnings, whoever caused the crash (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/regulations\/new-york\/11-NYCRR-65-1.1\">11 NYCRR 65-1.1<\/a>). File the NF-2 application with the insurer within 30 days of the accident (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfs.ny.gov\/apps_and_licensing\/property_insurers\/nofault\/forms\/complete_set\">DFS no-fault forms<\/a>). With an assignment of benefits (NF-AOB), PMR bills the insurer directly at fee-schedule rates (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/regulations\/new-york\/11-NYCRR-65-3.11\">11 NYCRR 65-3.11<\/a>). Physical therapy is covered only with a referral (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/laws\/ISC\/5102\">NY Insurance Law 5102<\/a>).
